Country of origin China Distillation Method: Steam distilled from leaves Properties: analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antirheumatic Main Chemical Component: Methyl salicylate.***Some people are allergic to methyl salicylate, always use a patch test before trying Wintergreen essential oil. Uses: External application as a liniment for muscle and joint inflammation, musculoskeletal pain and skin problems such as eczema and acne. Blends well with: Lemon, Lime, Orange, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Chamomile German, Helichrysum, Lavender, Peppermint Application: Wintergreen essential oil should only be used in dilutions of 3% or less, over a short term, with healthy adults who are not taking anticoagulants. DO NOT use on frail individuals, children, or during pregnancy or when breast-feeding. DO NOT use internally. Inhalation: Add 3-5 drops onto a tissue and inhale or inhale directly from bottle. Massage Lotion: Adult use: Add 1-3 drops to a ½ oz. carrier oil or an unscented all natural lotion. Cautions: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are volatile and highly flammable. Keep away from direct flame. If pregnant or nursing, consult a physician before using. For external use only; DO NOT use undiluted.
