This website is owned and operated by e3.

Our goal is to offer Therapeutic Quality essential oils at affordable prices; to provide educational information and superior customer service. An independent lab thoroughly tests all of our essential oils with gas chromatography (GC), mass spectrometry (MS), and Flame Ionization Detection (FID) to insure they are genuine, unadulterated, and pesticide free.

We have hundreds of essential oils available as singles (common and rare), dilutes and synergy blends. We create effective synergy blends for a wide variety of situations; they are available undiluted as well as in spritzers and diluted in roll-on applicators for easy integration into your daily life and/or professional work.

There are three Clinical Aromatherapists, a massage therapist, an esthetician and an RN on staff at e3; specializing in aromatherapy solutions for self care, wellness, massage, skin care, hospital and hospice work. We are passionate about essential oils and encourage you to learn about and experience for yourself the many wonderful benefits of aromatherapy.

Warm regards from all of us at Essential 3.

Therapeutic Quality Essential Oils

To ensure that we are providing our customers with the purest essential oils, E3 works with an independent lab that utilizes all techniques available to test for purity and quality; therefore, GC/GLC & MS tests are run.

• GC or GLC: Gas Chromatography or Gas Liquid Chromatography. A measurement tool that is able to vaporize each molecule of the essential oil and quantify the percentage of the constituent present. It DOES NOT tell us what that constituent is. The percentage information is the area under the peak represented on a graph; while the peaks represent the individual constituent. (Individual constituents identified by MS testing)

• MS: Mass Spectrometry determines the molecular mass of each molecule, identifying each constituent of the essential oil; each constituent being represented on the graph as a peak

GC/GLC & MS Testing performed to ensure quality and purity:

  1. Essential Oils are free of pesticides
  2. Essential Oils are free of synthetics
  3. Essential Oils are unadulterated
  4. Essential Oil chemical constituents are in the range necessary to be effective for intended use

E3 also believes the following information should be listed on the label:

  • Common name
  • Botanical name
  • Chemotype

And the following information should be readily available:

  • Extraction process
  • Part of the plant used
  • Country of origin

To preserve the integrity (smell and character) of the essential oil, we recommend:

  1. Store essential oils in glass containers
  2. Store essential oils in a dry, dark area that is kept at a constant cool temperature.
  3. All caps should be tightly secured, to limit air exposure and minimize oxidation.
